Some of the top runners from around Tennessee converged on Weakley Park in Clarksville on Saturday for the prestigious TMSAA State Championships.

The Lady Dragons originally took 1st place as the West Tennessee Sectional Champs in Collierville on September 16th, which qualified them for the TMSAA State Championships. A total of 17 teams from around the state in Class AA competed. Gabs Gulstrom lead the Lady Dragons to a 4th place finish with a time of 12:59 as she took the 9th place spot out of 149 competitors. Maya Lang placed 22nd, Augusta Bodga placed 27th, Audrey Maier placed 41st, Johanna Sawser placed 57th, Racheal Mullaly placed 81st and Noor Ceulemans place 82nd.

Jake Roeder also qualified to compete in the TMSAA Class AA State Championships and finished 68th in Saturday's race.

The season is not over just yet. The Dragons still have 3 races on the schedule, the Memphis Youth Athletics race #4 at Shelby Farms on Tuesday and then will be followed by the Tennessee State Regionals and Tennessee State Championships at Shelby Farms later this month.
