The West Collierville Girls' Cross Country team had an impressive performance on Saturday (Sept. 3) at the annual Memphis Twilight Classic. The Dragons claimed 1st place overall in the team division and Maya Lang took 2nd overall out of 172 participants with a phenomenal one mile time of 7:24.50. WCMS' Gabrielle Gulstrom (7:39.71) placed 9th overall to also secure a Top 10 finish.

The other top three performers for West Collierville were Audrey Maier (7:45.30) for 12th place, Amaya Edwards (7:50.27) for 14th place and Augusta Bogda (7:59.92) for 19th place.

West Collierville Middle School was the only school to place five runners in the Top 20.
