The West Collierville Girls' Basketball Team ended their most successful season in program history with a state runner up finish at the TMSAA State Championships. The Lady Dragons lost to a talented Lake Forest Middle School, 50-34, in the Class AAA Championship Game at Rockvale High School in Rutherford County on Saturday (Feb. 13).

West Collierville qualified for the state tournament by defeating Bartlett City Schools' Bon Lin Middle in the sectional final 43-16. The Lady Dragons defeated Macon County Junior High, 42-37, in state semi-finals to advance to the state championship.

The Lady Dragons finished the year 21-1 as they remained undefeated until the state title game. A talented 8th grade class will look to continue the success next year at Collierville High School. The team graduates Emma Federico, Emma Kelly, Camille Martin, Lily Reafsnyder, and Hilary Shikuku. The team will return 7th graders: Alexis Anderson, Taylor Miller, Libby Rowland and 6th graders: Brooke Barton, Bailey Thornton, and Ainsley Walk.
