Sebastian Peterson Crowned State Champion at Raccoon Mountain

The Tennessee Interscholastic Cycling League hosted their State Championships on Sunday at Laurel Point – Raccoon Mountain in Chattanooga, and West Collierville’s Sebastian Peterson delivered a stellar performance to claim the individual boys' middle school state title. Peterson blazed through the first lap with a time of 16:48, setting the tone early. He maintained his lead with a strong second lap of 23:25, finishing the race in 40:13.31 to secure the title.






Joining Peterson on the podium were:

2nd Place: Noah Seeley (Science Hill) – 40:21.19
3rd Place: Joshua Sosa (Hamilton County) – 40:47.20
4th Place: Bennett Williamson (Wilson County) – 40:56.76
5th Place: Graham Robinson (Grassland) – 41:08.43

With Peterson’s victory, West Collierville closes out a successful mountain biking season.

The Collierville Schools’ mountain biking team will host an interest meeting in April 2026 to prepare for the Fall 2026 race season. The program consist of boys and girls' teams from Collierville High, Collierville Middle, and West Collierville Middle. Head Coach is Chad Mackiewicz and assisted by Samantha Styfhoorn and Leska Parker.
