West Collierville Middle School’s volleyball team made a powerful statement on Thursday during the opening day of the 2025 Class AA TSSAA Middle School Division Volleyball State Championships. Competing in Pool C, the Lady Dragons swept all three of their matches without dropping a single set,.

In their first match, West Collierville defeated East Hamilton Middle with a commanding performance (25-15, 25-17). They followed up with a dominant win over Dickson Middle (25-9, 25-22), and closed out the day with another straight-set victory against Battle Creek Middle (25-15, 25-17).

With a perfect record in pool play, the Lady Dragons earned the #1 seed in Pool C and will face Mill Creek Middle, the #2 seed from Pool D, in the semifinals at 11:30 a.m. at Brentwood High School. The winner of that match will advance to the state championship game to face the victor of the Upperman Middle vs. East Hamilton Middle semifinal.
